The Film Fatales es un colectivo de mujeres directoras de cine independiente, que se reúnen regularmente para compartir ideas, apoyarse mútuamente, establecer bases de colaboración para nuevos proyectos y ante todo, para crear una comunidad cooperante en la que ampararse para llevar a cabo el difícil reto que supone hoy día dirigir, producir y estrenar una película, más aún desde la mirada femenina.
Si nos fijamos en los todopoderosos y esclarecedores datos, la realidad aún sigue siendo descorazonadoramente cruel para el género femenino en el mundo del cine y es por ello que, apoyamos incondicionalmente colectivos como The Film Fatales. Más aún, si presentan propuestas e iniciativas tan destacables como la que viene a continuación.
Tal y como nuestros compañeros de Indiewire anunciaron el pasado viernes, The Film Fatales ha publicado sendos listados que tienen como prioridad reivindicar aquellas películas dirigidas por mujeres que han inspirado su cine, así como películas recientes dirigidas por mujeres que todo el mundo debería ver. Entre ellas luce la recién estrenada "Selma" junto a un buen puñado de títulos actualmente disponibles en nuestro catálogo que ponemos a vuestra disposición.
