No fue "La clase", ni "Hace mucho que te quiero", ni siquiera "Un cuento de Navidad". Los premios César (ya sabes, los Oscar del cine francés) más importantes fueron a parar a un a la vida fuera de lo común de Séraphine de Senlis, una mujer nacida en 1864 que fue pastora, luego ama de casa y, finalmente, pintora antes de hundirse en la locura. Es decir: "Seraphine". Un biopic histórico dirigido por Martin Provost que, con sus 7 galardones, fue la gran sorpresa de la noche, un shock para la cinematografía francesa comparable al que supuso para la española la victoria de "La soledad" frente a "El orfanato" en los Premios Goya de 2008. En cualquier caso las tres películas favoritas se tuvieron que conformar con premios menores, mientras "Vals con Bashir" esta vez sí consiguió el galardón a la Mejor Película Extranjera.
